A new home at the up and coming Panama Pacifico
Student project with Janae Nardi
Created with Revit and Photoshop
A proposed assisted living home in the development Panama Pacifico gives the residents a chance to experience the tropics. The challenge of this project was to create a place that felt like home to residents, no matter where they come from. The fact that the buildings are proposed to be built in Panama was also important because of the high humidity and warm weather. Taking into consideration the local population and culture, The Four Waters will be a home that incorporates a Panamanian-inspired color scheme with all the comforts of home and the necessities of an aging population. This includes plenty of space for wheelchairs and supportive seating. Each resident has a private suite that includes a living room, bedroom and his/her own bathroom. A large public living space encourages residents to come together and enjoy the company of fellow residents. A community house, which is accessible to the outdoors through covered walkways, allows residents and their guests to meet and spend time together outside of the home atmosphere. Amenities include a large gathering space, theater, salon and spa.
