Work from artist Chris Pappan revitalizes The Field Museum

Project completed as an intern
Created with Sketchup, Revit and Photoshop

As an exhibit design intern at The Field Museum I was assigned with designing this exhibition in partnership with another intern, just as I was with Full Circle/Omani Wakan: Lakota Artist Rhonda Holy Bear. This project was unique in that it was incorporated into an existing Native American exhibition which has been displayed at the museum for many years. One of the challenges was merging these two exhibitions into one space, but still letting each speak on its own. The artist created many works of art that could be displayed on walls and some work was done in giant ledger books. As a team we decided that placing temporary walls to display the work was the best option. Some display cases are interspersed throughout the exhibition to show Pappan's 3D works as well as some of the museum's artifacts.
